मैं बनूँ दुल्हन उसकी लेकिन अभी ,

    है नहीं शायद मेरी किस्मत में,

        क़रार मिलता नहीं हमें, 

      कितनी बेचैनी है ये प्यार में ।

      सारा श्रृंगार फीका है मेरा ,

 जब तक देख ना ले मुझे जी भर के ,

कहीं ख़बर ना हो उसे टूटे दिल की ,

 फिर क्या बात हुई मेरे बाद में ।

 कैसी दीवार बनाई है  ये सहनाई की ,

    जो हमें मिलने नहीं देती आपसे ,

     जहाँ एक वर्ष गुज़ार आए  हम ,

       तन्हां उनके ही इंतज़ार में ।

    रोज़ सजती हूँ देखो उनके नाम से ,

और हम मुस्कुरा जाते हैैं उनके आसियान से,

हमें ख़ुद की नहीं परवाह हमें ख़्याल उनका है ,

     इश्क़-ए-ख़ुमार में हम उनके सहवाग है ।

थकान उतर आई है अब मेरी ,

  और  दिल  है  दीवानगी  में ,

मेरा वजूद हो जाए पूरा अगर ,

सहारा हो उनके जीवन निसार में ।

तू कर मेरा ये काम अपनी हिम्मत से जिससे ,

       महक जाए जात मेरी ये सोचकर , 

        जैसे गुलशन महका हो बहार में ।

 कुछ कहना तो चाहता है दिल उनका भी ,

          लेकिन कुछ कह नहीं पाता,

सायद उनकी कि चाहत अच्छी नहीं ,

पता नहीं क्या बात हुई  इज़हार में ।
